The Heart of New Mexico

This painting was created for the ‘NM Love Paint Contest’ hosted by American Home Furniture Store. This was my first art competition and I was extremely nervous but excited to be surrounded by some of the most talented artists in the Albuquerque area. I created this large painting within the one-week deadline while simultaneously working my part time job and attending online classes as a full time student. I was extremely proud to be the youngest artist competing, and even more proud when I found out the public had voted for my painting to win first prize.
